Accessing the Question Panel
To begin adding questions, navigate to the Tests module and open the test you want to edit. Then:
Select the section and the page where you want to place your question.
Click on the page to open its content area.
Click the + Add Question button on the right panel.
A dropdown menu will appear with several options for inserting content:
Content – Add non-question material (e.g., instructions, context).
Create a Question – Start a new question from scratch.
Browse Question Bank – Reuse existing questions.
Random Question Selector – Build a dynamic pool for randomized delivery.
Browse Content Groups – Add a group of related questions in one go.
Select the page and the adding option for the question.
Option 1: Create a New Question
Select Create a Question from the dropdown.
Choose a question type from the popup (e.g., Multiple Choice, Coding, Short Text, etc.).
Enter your question content and configure the options.
Save the question to insert it directly onto the page.
Choose the type of the question.Add your content and configure the corresponding choices and settings.Save the question and it will appear on the selected page.
You can add media, define scoring rules, apply tags, and link the question to specific dimensions. For more information, check out the Creating a Question section of our handbook.
Option 2: Add from the Question Bank
Click Browse Question Bank.
Use folders, filters, and views to find your desired question(s).
Choose how to insert: "Reference Question" keeps questions linked to their original in the bank so that updates apply globally while "Copy Question" creates a standalone duplicate.
Optionally mark the question as "Required" for rendering it as must be answered by test-takers and "Ineffective" for it to be included in the test but excluded from scoring.
Click Save to confirm and add the question to the page.

Option 3: Use the Random Question Selector
Create dynamic test variations by selecting a pool of questions and defining how many should be randomly drawn per test-taker.
Choose Random Question Selector from the dropdown.
Click the + icon to add questions to the pool.
Select questions from folders and confirm.
Configure the selector settings (e.g., number of questions to display).
Save the selector to embed it in your test page.
Each test-taker will see a different subset of questions drawn from the pool, enhancing fairness and reducing predictability.
Option 4: Add from Content Groups
Use this option to insert pre-bundled composite questions linked to a shared piece of content (like an image, video, or article).
Select Browse Content Groups.
Search or browse by folder to locate your content group.
Select the composite group and click Add Selected Composite.
This is ideal for reading comprehension, case-based scenarios, or multi-question exercises tied to the same source.
Managing Questions on the Page
Once questions are added, you can manage them directly on the page:
Reorder using the up/down arrows.
Edit or delete any question with the action buttons.
Mark as Fixed to prevent shuffling.
Assign Dimensions to categorize by subject area.
Check Question Origin to view if it’s linked to the question bank.
All changes are saved in real-time and reflected in the test structure.
